REFLECTIONS ON WEST DENVER PREP
Ulysses Estrada, Alumnus
“At West Denver Prep I grew academically in a way that was extraordinary. I have learned that the price of success is high. Depending on your perseverance and loyalty to your success, it is worth working hard for. One of West Denver Prep’s beliefs is that you are not born smart; you can become smart.
I feel very proud of being a West Denver Prep graduate. I now go to Colorado Academy (Go Mustangs!). I want to go to an Ivy League school and I want to do something different. Not like be a comedian or actor, but I want to study in the field of green technologies to help the world and the environment. West Denver Prep has made an immense difference in my life.”
Aylin Gann, Alumna
“A West Denver Prep graduate (just reading those words puts a smile on my face), I’m glad to know that I helped start one of the smartest branches of schools. It amazes me when I compare what I learned in middle school to what my friends in private schools learned. We had a better grounding of math and English. At the rate West Denver Prep teaches students, the kids are bound to go big places.
Right now, I attend Colorado Academy and I’m thankful to West Denver Prep for guiding me there. I am considering the University of Denver for college, but with so many great colleges out there, I’m still searching. I plan to be an English teacher, thanks to the inspiration of West Denver Prep.”
Jazmin Nieto, Alumna
“Our high school placement class helped me know how to apply to high schools. I got accepted to both of my top choices. I was trying to decide which to go to and my uncle said, ‘Jazmin, four years from now, we’ll be back in this same room talking about where you got accepted to college and you’ll be deciding between Harvard and Yale.’ That made me really happy and excited for the future. I dream of attending a top school and becoming a pediatrician or a surgeon. I want to help people.”
