LOTTERY PROCESS
Southwest Denver Schools
All West Denver Prep schools are open-enrollment. At our Southwest campuses, students are selected each February through a random public lottery process that offers equal opportunity to all students, without consideration of past academic performacne.
North Denver Schools
The first charter schools in DPS to do so, our North Denver schools have accepted a district attendance boundary, such that each student who lives within it is guaranteed a seat at our Lake or Highland campuses, or the third middle school option in the boundary, Lake IB. This process essentially guarantees that the student body of our North campuses mirrors the surrounding community.
